Steps to get RESIDENCE VISA for YOUR WIFE in LAND OF NICE PEOPLE, KSA

After 4 consecutive trips to dammam i have learn following things which may help you in future because this process is only of 10 min but IF AND ONLY IF you know the right location, right place, right documents and assume that everything entered in SAUDI COMPUTER SYSTEMS is correct and last but not least NICE PERSON who is going to check these docs. Sending you this mail because you may remember me in your turn when you find this mail in your inbox.

REQUIRED DOCS

1) Urdu Nikkah Nama (Original) but Put a copy in FILE which you are going to submit

2) English Nikkah Nama (Orignal) but put a copy in FILE (Translate URDU Nikkah Nama into English from Pakistan and attestation from MOF in pak and Saudi Embassy in Pak)

3) Arabic Original Translated and Stamped Copy from Authorize Translator (This translation will be done in Saudia from authorize translator, make sure to have one copy with you as well)

4) Degree translated in Arabic from Pak and attested from MOF and Saudi Embasy

*Update: The degree has to be attested by the MOFA (Saudi) for wife visa.

5) Company NOC letter in ARABIC (Original attested from Chamber) which should mentioned that they don't have any problem bringing your wife here, plus your salary, iqama number, occupation etc 

6) Your Current Passport Copy with that page where you job designation or company info written

7) That passport copy which have your first ENTRY in SAUDIA

8 Your Wife Passport Copy (New passport which have your name in Husband Name column)

9) Your Iqama Copy

10) one ARABIC form which you will get from ISTAQDAAM (Residency Visa) Office, You can get copy extra copies from me, this letter should be filled by you and one portion by your company and stamped of your company)

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1) Your NIC Pak COPY

2) Your Wife NIC Copy (which have your name in husband column)

3) PLEASE PLEASE VERIFY YOUR NAME IN SAUDI PASSPORT COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT WETHER ITS SAME AS IT IS WRITTEN IN YOUR PASSPORT , Like in PAKI PASSPORT our NAMES are in ENGLISH so MAKE SURE its HAVE ENGLISH ENTRY in PASSPORT COMPUTER SYSTEM and for safe side add ARABIC AS WELL SAME AS IT IS YOU HAVE IN YOUR IQAMA. THIS IS THE HARDEST PART OF THIS PROCESS

1) PLEASE BRING AS MUCH AS DOC YOU CAN, DONT PUT THEM IN FILE BUT PLEASE TRY TO GET AS MUCH AS STAMPS ON IT AND BRING IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU GO FOR APPLY

2) YOU WILL GET YELLOW SLIP PRINT OUT WHICH MEANS YOU GOT VISA AND YOUR WIFE HAS TO SHOW IN PAK SAUDI EMABSY THAT ORIGINAL SLIP BUT PLEASE PLEASE , THAT SLIP WILL NOT HAVE YOUR WIFE NAME BUT MAKE SURE CHECK YOUR IQAMA NUMBER, AND NAME ON IT WITH CORRECT SPEELING LETTER BY LETTER ALSO KEEP EYE ON KEYBOARD WHEN HE IS ENTRING YOUR WIFE NAME IN THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT WETHER HE IS TYUPING CORRECT AND COMPLETE SPEEL AS SHE HAVE IN HER PASSPRT

3) LAST THAT AS I SAID YOU WILL NOT FIND YOUR WIFE NAME IN THAT YELLOW SLIP BUT THERE IS COLUM THERE SAY RELATAION..... THEY PUT FOR ME SISTER :-) SO THIS MORNING I WENT TO CORRECT IT AND MADE IT ZOJAAA (WIFE)

 
One point missing,

Before all this you have to pay 2000SR government Visa fees to Riyadh Bank or Rajih Bank. They will give you one green or blue slip, PLEASE make thousand copies of it. bring it with you when you got to Visa Office, and don’t throw it even you get the visa because when your wife come to saudia and you try to put her name under your iqama then iqama staff may ask you this original green slip, they can’t check from their stupid system. If you lost it then you have to pay 2000SR again

How to make birth certificate and passport of a newly born baby in KSA

Congratulation for a new baby! Now your wife has done her part, it’s time for you to play your role. Yes you got it! The documents journey or a life journey, whatever you want to say.

Get a Birth Certificate:   It does not matter how many children you have, what matters most is, do you have birth certificates of your children.  

Hospital will provide you birth announcement letter for a new born, which contain detail about baby name, father, mother and many more.

After receiving that letter visit, http://eservices.moi.gov.sa and book your appointment with government body called "Ahwal-ul-madini" google coordinates (+26° 12' 23.76", +50° 12' 21.66") which deals in birth certificate, divorce and marriage cases.

Fill the arabic form, very easy to fill form. Attach following

1. Your Iqama Copy
2. Wife Iqama Copy
3. Your Passport Copy
4. Wife Passport Copy
5. Orginal Birth Anouncement letter from hospital
6. Keep Original Vaccination card with you.

Visit Ahwal-ul-madini office at appointment date, present all document listed above, take your token number and wait for your turn. 

After receiving the letter, which will be ready in 30 min, signed it from MUDEEER (Department Head) and that is all. 

Finally you have the birth certificate, get it Stamp by ministry-of-foreign-affair (MOFA). This step is quite simple, just visit the ministry. They have separate counter for stamping the documents. They will stamp the document in no time, charge you for the stamp fee and that is all. Now you are ready for passport journey.

For passport journey, everyone has to follow his embassy rule and regulations. Please visit your embassy site for detail information. If you are Pakistani you can stick with this blog.

For newly born you have to first make a NICOP, which is mandatory step for passport. No need for Form-B, which is required if baby is born in Pakistan and one is making passport from Pakistan.

 

NICOP request can be enroll from pak-embassy in Dammam, Riyadh or Jeddah. However pak-embassy in Dammam cannot make an urgent request for NICOP although they do make regular request. 

For urgent request you have to visit pak-embassy in Riyadh. Pak- Embassy claims that they make the urgent NICOP request in 20 days and (nicop) number is allocated within 15 days in case of urgent request. Embassy phone number which helps you in knowing NICOP- number is 4884111 ext 2111, this service is available during 2:30 pm to 4:00pm time only on working days.

Once NICOP number is available to applicant, one can launch passport request for newly born.         

Passport service is only available in Riyadh and Jeddah embassies. So, if you are not living in Riyadh or Jeddah, it means you have to travel all the way to Riyadh or Jeddah. I don’t know why all those services are not available in Dammam.

 

Up to this point you have baby’s nicop or nicpo number with you.

About People

As you know being expatriate man I am only exposed to male society of Saudi Arabia, which makes complete sense to me. Other than few spoil kids, all of them have very strong bounding with their traditional culture, language, dress and food. Large part of Saudi Society never impress by foreign culture, they neither adopt it nor admire it.

Saudia is one of those countries which highly depend on expatriate work force. You must be wonder to know that more than half of KSA population consists on foreign work force and their families. Among those foreigners many of them spent their whole professional life in this part of the world. After having such huge foreign population in their country since ages how come Saudi culture remains intact? This shows that how close they are with their roots.

I have seen that people all around the kingdom live very simple life indeed, wear simple cloths and eat simple dishes. They offer Salah [Prayer] five times a day; shut their businesses during Salah time. While traveling if Salah time is due, they stop their vehicle at first safest place, Offer Salah and then continue their journey.

Arabic is the national language of Saudia and they are very possessive about it. Prefer to speak Arabic without using vocabulary of different languages. Have lot of literature available in Arabic and also have Arabic news papers available on net and also thousand of website related to Arabic literature.

Wear plain and simple dress of white color, they say it “Toub”. One may ask a Question why this nation wears uniform dress even of same color during their daily life. Uniform dress during school life makes sense but wear uniform cloths throughout life by whole nation, which is something unique.

They admire eating food. When you saw them while eating, you almost sure about that they will finish their food without any assistance, but they hardly manage to finish it. As I have mention before they are so simple or may be not so creative in cooking food, as they are in driving. They cook only one dish, which is called Mandi, ingredient of this dish is rice and meat and that is all about their admiring habit.

Young Saudi is crazy about car driving. I know being a Saudi they really miss horse riding and they fulfill their thrust by drive a 1000 horse power engine. They drive a car same as they ride a horse, never turn the steering completely to take 180 degree turn [U turn]. Always turn the car to 90 degree by steering and rest 90 degree by rear wheel. Petrol is 4 times cheaper than drinking water. Cars are very cheap in rates compare with other part of the world. They usually own heavy cars for traveling.

In dealing they are very fair and clear, as I have seen them. They do what they commit you, no deviation.
Corruption barely exists. Law and order condition is very good. Robbing, snatching and killing or any forms of crime barely happen.

Khobar, As I see It

Al-Khobar, is a small city surrounded by a few old and commercial eastern province cities of Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf. I always call it bachelor’s city. Where being a bachelor one can live and enjoy the freedom of life compare to other cities of Saudia.

Saudia is great and Al-Khobar is great ++. One cannot feel Khobar’s calm until one has not spent his part of life here. Small city but has every single thing available which is required for a good living standard except a glass-stand, I don’t know why glass-stand is so harder to find here in Khobar malls. I am searching for a one since 3 months but have no luck yet.

Beauty of Khobar is in less traffic, numerous malls having all sorts of international brands, well maintain river side[corniche], few very unique and adventurist picnic sports like half moon( a desert place for riding bikes and trucks), boat riding, King Fahd Causeway, hundreds of Families get together places and bar-bee-Q spots at Persian Gulf.

Have variety of food outlets, which serve Arabic, Jordanian, Pakistani, Indian, Lebanese, Iranian, English and Chinese dishes. I like Saudi Mandi and Mabzi [name of Arabic dishes]. However it is harder to find good Chinese food in Saudia. Bando-Khan restaurant is not famous at all in Karachi but it has good name and reputation in Khobar. Almost everything one can find here including peace of mind. I love this city.

Khobar also have a small Pakistani Area and a Pakistani School, one can see Pakistan everywhere in this area. Commercial market is small, and in term of software market it would not exist if Al-Khobar is not situated beside Dharan City, which has Saudia Aramco and KFUPM University in it. Dharan is adjacent to Khobar, hardly 10 min of drive on highway or may be less.
